Christian Meditation Group

Thursday April 24th, there is a meeting for Christian meditation, in Bangkok as detailed below. The meeting is not limited to Christians, and anyone can attend. Christianity has long lineage of meditation of various kinds both old and new, and there is always so much in common between meditative traditions.

Program Schedule:


09:30        Registration and fee payment [200 Baht]

10:00        Introduction and Talk by Fr Laurence Freeman, OSB, Teacher of the World Community for Christian Meditation

10:45                Meditation

11:15        Talk followed by questions addressed to Fr. Laurence

12:00       Lunch; sign up for either “One on One” periods with Fr. Laurence or for Group sharing


13:15        Parallel sessions – One-on-One sharing with Fr Laurence or in Group Sharing led by other Meditators

13:45        Introduction to “Friends of WCCM” and Parallel sessions – One-on-One sharing either with Fr Laurence or in Group Sharing

15:00        Mass with talk and meditation

16:00        Closure

    “Christianity has long lineage of meditation of various kinds both old and new” Yes but the WCCM only teach mantra meditation, I have to wonder how much exposure you’ll get to other forms.
